CEE-ROCK "THE FURY"
Cee-Rock “The Fury” (or 'Fury' as he is known to his friends and colleagues) is no new-comer to the Hip Hop scene. Born and raised in Queens (New York), Fury has his roots in “Hip Hop Central”. Fury is featured on George's Sweden ’s remix of The Things You Do (Written by Denniz Pop & Max Martin) on Speedlimit/Edelpitch Records, which hit the Top 40 in Sweden .
That same track became an import hit in the U.S. and was ranked by Billboard at No. 37. “The Fury” has been seen on MTV with Ananda Lewis, freestyled with the Rap Coalition (sponsored by Wendy Day); performed at the Apollo Theater, Video Music Box with Ralph McDaniels & Crazy Sam; Underground Ruff House with Uncle Jesse Barnes (for over ten years), interviewed on Video Explosion and can also be seen in Nas' video 'Hate Me Now' featuring Puff Daddy (currently known as P.Diddy).
Cee-Rock "The Fury"'s long-awaited debut album “Bringin’ Da’ Yowzah!!!" will be released in the Spring of 2004 on !Handzup!/Turmic Records in Scandinavia and Wolftown Recordings in the UK . The album features Promoe [of 'Looptroop'] (SE), 10Shott [of 'Vicious Circle'] (UK), Late [of 'Villains'] (UK), Mikey D [formerly of 'Main Source' / winner of New Music Seminar's MC Battle '88 and also defeated rap veteran Melle Mel] (NY/USA), Tah Phrum Duh Bush (NY/USA) and Coole High (NY/USA).
Foul language is not on Fury’s agenda. He feels that the use of unnecessary cursing is a cop-out for emcees who lacks a strong vocabulary. And drugs? Forget it dawg, it ain't that type of party! Even if Fury hails from an area of NYC that is well-known for its crazy lifestyles and drug inhabitance, Fury has always walked the straight line. A ferocious competitor, “The Fury” is always looking for a challenge especially when it comes to the battle of wit. Strategic brain-warfare keeps “The Fury” on his toes; he specializes in the art of deep thought.
Most recently, Fury has been featured on several of the most important hip hop compilations in Europe including: R.I.C.O Entertainment’s (Spain) Street Hop (A Selection Of Underground Hip Hop Joints); Big Flavour Records’ (Germany) Ko-Laboration album along with MC Flavour, Damon and Rockkid (among others); Wolftown Recordings’ (UK) International Rhyme Spittin’ EP and guest appearing on other artist’s albums including an upcoming relase by Marcel on Cookin’ Records/Good Looking Organisation (UK) and in the US on K.Sirrah Records' Bridging The Soul Musical Gap which also features acts such Long Dystance and house legend Colonel Abrams, appears on Cadence’s (of Raw Produce) album entitled Cadence Poisons The Minds Of The Children on Day By Day Entertainment and several others.
Fury’s vibe has also been picked up in Hawaii, and is a specially featured artist in two 360 Video Magazine DVD’s: JDM Insider ( 360 Video in Japan) and Downshift. Fury has recently performed in several European festivals including: Stenkula Hip Hop Festival (Sweden); Arvika “Against Racism Festival” (Sweden); Rock The Spot Festival (Norway) with Maylay Sparks, Rock Steady Crew, DJ Noize, DJ Static and DJ Shine as well as the Midtfyns Festival (Denmark). Fury was one of 200 artists accepted to perform at NEMO in Boston, a finalist in the UNISONG International Song Contest 2001 and this past summer he performed with Coole High and Tah Phrum Duh Bush as the newly formed group 3DA (which stands for 3 Dyffrent Anglez ) at the IMC 2003 Conference in Philadelphia .
He is truly an international artist in every sense of the word. Cee-Rock "The Fury" spends a quarter of the year recording and touring in Europe. He is Head of A&R for !Handzup!, the Hip Hop label under Turmic Records in Sweden/Denmark.
